The President of the Senate granted leave of absence to Senators Vishnu Dhanpaul and Courtney Mc Nish. Mr. Sanjiv Boodhu and Mrs. Zola Phillip were appointed to temporarily replace Senators Dhanpaul and Mc Nish

The Attorney General moved the second reading of the Special Operations Bill, 2026. Debate then began on the Bill. Eighteen persons contributed to the debate before the wind up by the Attorney General. The bill was then committed to the Committee of the Whole for consideration clause by clause. The bill was approved without amendments. With 16 votes for, 15 votes against and no abstentions, the bill was read a third time and passed.
