Leave of absence was granted to Mrs. Camille Robinson-Regis, MP for Trincity/Maloney, from sittings of the House during the period October – December 2025.
The Speaker informed of correspondence received from the President of the Senate highlighting changes made to Joint Select Committees.

The Administration of Justice (Indictable Proceedings) (Amendment) Bill, 2025 was introduced in the name of the Attorney General, who moved that the next stage of the bill be taken later in the proceedings. The motion was approved.
The Attorney General, Sen. the Hon. John Jeremie, SC, moved the second reading of The Administration of Justice (Indictable Proceedings) (Amendment) Bill, 2025. The Member for Port of Spain South, Mr. Keith Scotland, SC, MP, the Member for Barataria/San Juan and Minister of Land and Legal Affairs and Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Hon. Saddam Hosein, MP and the Member for Laventille West, Mr. Kareem Marcelle, MP, added their voices to the debate before the wind up by the Attorney General. The bill was then committed to a Committee of the Whole for consideration clause by clause. The bill was approved with amendments. With 27 votes for, 12 votes against and no abstentions, the bill was read a third time and passed.
The Minister of Homeland Security, Hon. Roger Alexander, MP, moved a motion to approve the notification of the President of the Nomination by the Police Service Commission of Mr. Junior Benjamin to act in the office of Commissioner of Police. He further moved that a motion that Motion No. 2 on the Order Paper, to approve the notification of the President of the Nomination by the Police Service Commission of Mr. Curt Simon to act in the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police, be debated together with Motion No. 1. This was approved. Two members contributed to the debate before the wind up by the Minister of Homeland Security. With 27 votes for, no votes against and no abstentions, both motions were approved.
