The President of the Senate (Sen. the Hon. Dr. Linda Baboolal) granted leave of absence from the day’s sitting to Sen. the Hon. Dr. Lenny Saith, Sen. the Hon. Howard Chin Lee and Sen. Prof. Ramesh Deosaran (out of the country). The President also granted leave to Sen. Basharat Ali from the day’s sitting (illness). The Oath of Office was administered to Mrs. Joan Hackshaw-Marslin, Mrs. Magna Williams-Smith and Mr. Walton Francis James replacing Senators Saith, Chin-Lee and Deosaran respectively.
