Questions 1 and 5
The Member for Caroni East (Dr. Tim Gopeesingh, MP) sought leave of the House to move a matter pertaining to the instances of dengue fever. The Speaker ruled that the matter qualified, and leave was sought of the House. The House agreed. The Leader of the House moved that the Standing Orders pertaining to the time of debate be waived. The debate would be held at 4:30 p.m. and not at the usual 6:00 p.m.
The Member for Cumuto/Manzanilla moved a motion on containing food prices.
The House adjourned to Wednesday January 30, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. to continue debate on the Government Motion on Crime.
