The Minister of Housing and the Environment and Leader of the House moved a Motion asking the House to adopt the First Report of the Committee of Privileges of the House of Representatives. The Leader of the Opposition was first to enter the debate, followed by the Minister of Tourism (who proposed an amendment to the Motion) and the Member for Diego Martin North/East. Seven members made interventions before the Leader of the House rose to conclude. A division was taken on the amended motion, the result of which was 25 for, nine against. As a result, the Member for San Fernando East was suspended from the service of the House with immediate effect.
The Attorney General moved a Motion asking the House to consider Senate amendments to the Anti-Gang Bill, 2010. The Motion was approved.
The Attorney General moved another motion asking the House to approve Senate amendments to the Bail (Amendment) Bill, 2010. The Motion was approved.
