The Leader of Government Business sought and obtained leave of the Senate to consider Public Business instead of Private Business.

The Trafficking in Persons Bill, 2011

The Leader of Government Business resumed his contribution (from May 23, 2011) on the Trafficking in Persons Bill, 2011. He was followed by Sen. Subhas Ramkhelawan and Sen. Danny Maharaj. A total of 24 Senators made contributions over the course of four days of debate before the Minister of National Security then rose to conclude. The Bill was then considered in Committee and passed with amendments. It was then read a third time and passed.
