The Minister of Works and Transport made a Statement on the Purchase and Repair of a High Speed Catamaran (HSV Su).
The Leader of the House moved a Motion to approve the notification of the President of the nomination by the Police Service Commission of Mr. Dwayne D. Gibbs to the office of Commissioner of Police. The Member for Diego Martin North/East was first to enter the debate, followed by the Minister of Works and Transport and the Leader of the Opposition. The Leader of the House then rose to conclude the debate. A division was taken and the Motion approved by a margin of 25 for, none against and 10 abstentions.
The Petrotrin Pensions (No.2) Bill, 2010 was introduced in the name of the Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs.
At the next sitting debate is expected to begin on a Motion to consider legislative proposals on public procurement and disposal of public property and to replace the Central Tenders Board Act. The sitting ended at 6:46 p.m.
