Tributes were paid to the Mr. Kenneth Valley, who served as an Opposition Senator and later as the Member for Diego Martin Central, Leader of the House and a Minister of Government.

The Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs laid the Second Interim Report of the Joint Select Committee appointed to consider and report to Parliament on the Legislative Proposals to provide for Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property and the repeal and replacement of the Central Tenders Board Act.

Sen. Embau Moheni resumed his contribution (from March 22, 2011) on a Private Motion by Sen. Subhas Ramkhelawan on the process of Constitutional reform. He was followed by Sen. Fitzgerald Hinds. Debate on the Motion was then suspended.
At the next sitting, debate is expected on the Trafficking in Persons Bill, 2011, the Data Protection Bill, 2011 and the Miscellaneous Provisions (Ministry of Justice) Bill, 2011. The sitting ended at 4:40 p.m.
