Sen. the Hon. Franklin Khan made a statement on the timeline of the Gas to Liquid (GTL) Project.
Hon. Colm Imbert made a statement on the purchase of the Galleons Passage.
The Leader of the House moved motions requesting an extension of 11 weeks to the JSC on the Cybercrime Bill, 2017, The Income Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2018, the Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters Bill, 2018 and the Tax Information Exchange Agreements Bill, 2018 and the Gambling (Gaming and Betting) Control Bill, 2017 in order for the Committees to complete its work and produce a final report by September 14, 2018.
One Bill, the Planning and Facilitation of Development (Amendment) Bill, 2018, was introduced in the name of the Minister of Planning and Development.
The Attorney General wound up the debate on the motion to adopt the Report of the JSC on the Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Bill, 2018. The report was adopted.
The Bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole House for consideration. The Committee was suspended and will resume at the next Sitting.
The Senate amendments to The Criminal Division and District Criminal and Traffic Courts Bill, 2018 were considered and agreed upon.
