The Vice-President granted leave of absence to Sen. the Hon. Anand Ramlogan. Dr. Vidyha Gyan Tota-Maharaj was appointed to temporarily replace Sen. Ramlogan.
The Vice President of the Senate read correspondence from the Hon. Wade Mark Speaker of the House of Representatives indicating that Mrs. Paula Gopee-Scoon will replace Mr. Keith Rowley on the PAEC committee.

All Three Questions which qualified for oral answer were answered. See the Order Paper.
Debate resumed on the Anti-Gang Bill, 2010 which was in progress on April 12th 2011. Temporary Senator Moonan was first to contribute in today’s debate, followed by Sen. Shamfa Cudjoe, Sen. Helen Drayton and the Minister of Public Administration.
The Financial Intelligence Unit of Trinidad and Tobago (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill 2011, The Census (2011) (Extension and Validation) Bill 2011 and The Trafficking in Persons Bill 2011, which were passed in the House of Representatives were read a first time in the Senate. In the case of all three bills leave was obtained to have the next stage taken on Tuesday April 26, 2011.
At the next sitting the Senate is expected to debate The Financial Intelligence Unit of Trinidad and Tobago (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill 2011, The Census (2011) (Extension and Validation) Bill 2011 and The Trafficking in Persons Bill 2011. This sitting of the Senate adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
