The Attorney General moved the second reading of the Dog Control Bill, 2013. The Member for Diego Martin North/East was first to enter the debate. Following his contribution, debate on the Bill was adjourned.

The Speaker moved the second reading of the Holy Name Convent Past Pupils’ Association (Incorporation) Bill, 2013. The Speaker then appointed the following members to serve on a Special Select Committee of the House of Representatives to consider the Bill: Mrs. Nela Khan, Chairman, Ms. Ramona Ramdial, Mr. Jairam Seemungal, Ms. Patricia McIntosh and Mr. Fitzgerald Jeffrey.

The House adjourns to Friday June 21, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at which time debate will continue on the Dog Control Bill, 2013 followed by the CARIFORUM (Caribbean Community and Dominican Republic) European Community Economic Partnership Agreement Bill, 2013. Before adjourning, members paid tribute to the national community on the occasion of Labour Day, which is commemorated on June 19th each year.
