Leave of absence was granted to Mr. David Lee, MP for Pointe-a-Pierre, Dr. Roodal Moonilal, MP for Oropouche East and Mr. Dinesh Rambally, MP for Chaguanas West, from today’s Sitting of the House.
A moment of silence was observed for the late Jovenel Moise, President of Haiti, who was assassinated on July 7, 2021.
The Quarantine (Amendment) Bill, 2021 was brought from the Senate in the name of the Attorney General, Hon. Faris Al-Rawi, MP, who moved that the next stage of the bill be taken later in the proceedings. The motion was approved.

The Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Keith Rowley, MP, moved a motion that the House approve the Notification of nomination of Dr. Susan Craig-James as a member of the Police Service Commission. Mr. Indarsingh, MP, was the sole contributor to the debate. The motion was approved.
The House considered the Senate amendments to the Finance Bill, 2021. The amendments were approved.
The House considered the Senate amendments to The Miscellaneous Provisions (Special Reserve Police and Police Complaints Authority) Bill, 2020. The amendments were approved.

The bill was read a third time and passed, without amendments.
