The President granted leave to Sen. Laurel Lezama, Sen. Dr. Sharon-ann Gopaul – McNicol and Sen. Annette Nicholson-Alfred. Mr. Joel Primus, Mr. Raphael Cumberbatch and Ms. Althea Rocke were appointed to temporarily replace Senators Lezama, McNicol and Nicholson-Alfred respectively. Sen. Anwarie Ramkissoon will continue to sit for Sen. the Hon. Jerry Narace.
Five Papers were laid 2 in the name of the Minister of Tourism and 3 in the name of the Minister of Trade and Industry and Minister in the Ministry of Finance.
Eight questions qualify for oral answer. 5 Questions were answered and the next 3 were deferred.

The Attorney General read for a second time The Commissions of Enquiry (Validation and Immunity from Proceedings) Bill, 2009, beginning the debate. The Bill went into committee stage and passed with amendments. It was then read a third time.
