The Second Report (2011/2012) Session of the Joint Select Committee on Parliamentary Accommodation was presented by the Minister of Trade and Industry.
The Report of the Special Select Committee of the House of Representatives appointed to consider and report on a Private Bill entitled, “An Act for the incorporation of an Association to be known as the Association of Real Estate Agents and for matters incidental thereto.†was presented by the Deputy Speaker.

The Minister of Trade and Industry moved the second reading of The Cariforum (Caribbean Community and Dominican Republic) European Community Economic Partnership Agreement Bill, 2011. The Leader of the Opposition rose to initiate the debate on this bill with his contribution followed by contributions by the Members for Oropouche East, Diego Martin North/East and Port-of-Spain South. The Minister of Trade and Industry rose to conclude the debate. The Bill was considered in Committee and passed with amendments. The bill was then read a third time and passed.
Debate resumed on the Administration of Justice (Electronic Monitoring) Bill, 2011. The Member for Oropouche East rose to continue his contribution to the debate followed by contributions by Members for Port-of-Spain North/St. Ann’s West, Moruga/Tableland Arouca/Maloney, St. Ann’s East and La Brea. The Minister of Justice, Member of St. Joseph rose to conclude the debate. The Bill was considered in Committee and passed with amendments. It was then read a third time and passed by a margin of 26 for, 8 against, no abstentions.
The House adjourned to Friday May 11, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at which time the Government intends to begin debate on the Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2012. The sitting adjourned at 11:00 p.m.
