Bills Brought From The Senate
The Anti-Terrorism (Amendment)(No.2) Bill, 2010

The Bill, which was passed in the Senate on Tuesday January 19, 2010, was brought from the Senate. The Minister moved that the next stage of the Bill be taken later in the proceedings. Leave was granted.

Government Business: Bills Second Reading
The Anti-Terrorism (Amendment)(No.2) Bill, 2010

The Minister of National Security moved the Second Reading of the Anti-Terrorism (Amendment)(No.2) Bill, 2010. The Member for Tabaquite was first to enter the debate, followed by the Attorney General and the Member for Princes Town North. Five members made contributions before the Minister rose to conclude. The Bill was considered in Committee and passed without amendment. It was then read a third time and passed. The result of the division at third reading was 26 for, none against, 4 abstentions. The Bill was therefore passed.

Government Business: Bills Second Reading
The Civil Aviation (Amendment) Bill, 2010

The Minister of Works and Transport moved the second reading of the Civil Aviation (Amendment) Bill, 2010. The Member for Oropouche East was first to enter the debate, followed by the Prime Minister. The Minister then rose to conclude the debate. The Bill was considered in Committee and passed without amendment. It was then read a third time and passed.
