Leave of absence was granted to Sen. the Hon. Jennifer Baptiste-Primus and Sen. Dr. Lester Henry, who are out of the country, from today’s Sitting. Mr. Alisha Romano and Mr. Ndale Young were appointed temporary Senators in their place.
Temporary Senators Romano and Young took the oath of allegiance.

Three urgent questions were posed.
Seven questions qualified for oral answer. Question #137 was deferred for two weeks.
Acting Leader of Government Business moved a motion that the Senate concur with the House of Representatives in the establishment of a Joint Select Committee to consider and report of the Trinidad and Tobago Revenue Authority Bill by July 31, 2018. Six persons were appointed to the Committee. The motion was carried.
He then moved that the Senate concur with the House on the establishment of a Joint Select Committee to consider and report on the Income Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2018, the Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters Bill, 2018 and the Tax Information Exchange Agreements Bill, 2018 by June 30, 2018. Six persons were appointed to the Committee. The motion was approved.
The Attorney General moved the second reading of The Registration of Titles to Land (Amendment)(No.2) Bill, 2017. Following debate on the Bill, the Bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole Senate for consideration on a clause by clause basis. The Bill was read a third time and passed, with amendments.
