Debate which was suspended in the House on January 27, 2012 continued on a Private Motion moved by the Member for Laventille East/Morvant which asks the House to take note of the dismantling of national security systems and to call on the government to take steps to bring about a reduction in crime in Trinidad and Tobago. The Honourable Herbert Volney, Member for St. Joseph and Minister of Justice rose to make his contribution to the debate followed by a contribution by the Member for Laventille West. Debate was then suspended.
The House adjourned to Wednesday March 28, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. where Government intends to continue debate on the Legal Aid and Advice (Amendment) Bill, 2011 and if time permits will also continue debate on the Regional Health Authorities (Amendment) Bill, 2011. The sitting ended at 4:33 p.m.
