One Report, the Second Interim Report of the Joint Select Committee on the Cannabis Control Bill,2020 was presented.
One Urgent question was approved and answered. The Question has been appended to the Order Paper.
There are seven Questions on Notice listed on the Order Paper.
The Leader of the House moved that the Joint Select Committee appointed to consider and Report on the Cannabis Control Bill be allowed an extension of two months to complete its work and submit a final report by May 31, 2021. The House concurred.
The Member for Oropouche West moved a Private Motion asking the House to express its loss of confidence in the Minister of Finance. The Minister of Finance was first to respond, followed by the Member for Couva South, and the Minister of Energy and Energy Industries. 15 Members made contributions before debate on the Motion was suspended.
At the next Sitting, the House is expected to take the Anti-Gang Bill, 2021 through all its stages. Before adjourning Members extended greetings to the national community on the occasion of Spiritual Baptist Shouter Liberation Day and on the occasion of Easter. The Sitting ended at 7:53 p.m.
