Government Business: Bills Second Reading
The CARIFORUM States and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland EPA Bill, 2021

The Minister of Trade and Industry moved the second reading of the CARIFORUM States (the Caribbean Community and the Dominican Republic) and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Economic Partnership Agreement Bill, 2021. Six Senators made contributions before the Minister concluded the debate. The Bill was then referred to a Committee of the Whole to be considered clause by clause. The Bill was later read a third time and passed.

Decline in the Delivery of Postal Services by TTPOST

Sen. Hazel Thompson-Ahye raised as a Matter on the Motion for the Adjournment of the Senate, the need for the Government to address the steady decline in the delivery of postal services by the Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation. The Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries responded.

Withdrawal of Trade Unions from NTAC

Senator Wade Mark then raised as a Matter on the Motion for the Adjournment, the failure of the Government to address the concerns and decision of the Trade Unions to withdraw from the National Tripartite Advisory Council (NTAC) and the impact on industrial relations in Trinidad and Tobago. The Minister of Labour responded.
