The President granted leave of absence to Senator Nicole Dyer-Griffith. Mr. Arnold Ram was appointed to temporarily replace Sen. Dyer-Griffith during her absence.

The Land Adjudication (Amendment) Bill, 2012 was introduced in the name of the Minister of Legal Affairs. The Leader of Government Business in the Senate moved that the next stage of the bill be taken at the Sitting of the Senate on March 13, 2012. This was granted.

The Registration of Titles of Land (Amendment) Bill, 2012 was introduced in the name of the Minister of Legal Affairs. The Leader of Government Business in the Senate moved that the next stage of the bill be taken at the Sitting of the Senate on March 13, 2012. This was granted.

Minister of Public Utilities moved the second reading of the Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2012. Opposition Senator Faris Al-Rawi rose to provide the initial contribution to the debate followed by contributions by Independent Senator Elton Prescott, SC and Senator the Honourable Embau Moheni after which debate was suspended.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Communication moved the second reading of the Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons Bill, 2011.

The Senate adjourns to Tuesday March 13, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. where the Senate intends to continue debate on the Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons Bill, 2011 and if time permits debate will also continue on the Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2012.
