Debate continued on the motion raised by Sen. Sturge calling on the Government to deal with the unacceptable crime level in Trinidad and Tobago. Debate will resume on this motion at another Sitting.

Failure of the Government to continue the use of Biometric Smart Card

Sen. Khadijah Ameen raised a matter on the adjournment namely the failure of the Government to continue the use of the Biometric Smart Card System which ensures proper service delivery and accountability in the disbursement of social support services to disadvantaged persons. The Minister of Social Development and Family Services responded.
