The Deputy Speaker granted Leave of Absence to the Member for Point-a-Pierre.
The Deputy Speaker read correspondence from the President of the Senate informing the House that at a sitting held on Tuesday October 19, 2010, the Senate agreed to establish Joint Select Committees to consider the Legislative Proposal to provide for public procurement and disposal of public property together with the Legislative Proposal to repeal and replace the Central Tenders Board Act and on Parliamentary Accommodation.

the House considers a Private Motion in the name of the Member for Diego Martin West concerning the decision of the government to scrap the purchase of offshore patrol vessels. The motion was denied.
The Minister of Works and Transport delivered a statement on the topic of Mass Transit System Study.
The member for Deigo Martin North East raised a matter concerning the award of contracts for lightning at the Piarco Airport. He also voiced concerns for the award of contracts for work done on the Highways. The Minister of Works and Transport responded to the matter.
At the next sitting, the House will consider Motion 1 in today’s Order Paper. Time permitting, debate is expected to begin on An act to amend the Bail Act, Chap. 4:60. The sitting adjourned at 4:45 p.m.
