The President granted leave of absence to Sen. the Hon. Rudrawatee Nan Ramgoolam, Sen. Kevin Ramnarine, Sen. the Hon. Vasant Bharath, and Sen. Prof. Harold Ramkissoon (all out of the country). Ms. Lynette Abraham, Mr. Sylvester Ramquar, Mr. Venosh Sagewan-Maraj, and Mrs. Parvatee Anmolsingh- Mahabir were appointed to temporarily replace the Senators. Senator Terrence Deyalsingh continues to serve as the replacement for Senator Ted Roopnarine.

The Leader of Government Business in the Senate resumed debate on The Evidence(Amendment)(No.2) Bill, 2010 which was in progress when the Senate Adjourned on October 5, 2010. He was followed by temporary Senator Terrence Deyalsingh a total of ten Senators contributed to the debate. The bill went into committee stage and will be completed at the next sitting.

This sitting adjourned at 6:45p.m. At the next sitting it is expected that The Evidence(Amendment)(No.2) Bill, 2010 will be completed and the debate on a motion in the name of Sen. Ramkelawan will be resumed.
