The Minister of Finance moved the second reading of the Finance Bill, 2010. The Member for Caroni East was first to enter the debate, followed by the Minister of Works and Transport and the Member for Fyzabad. Seven members made interventions before the Minister of Finance rose to conclude. The Bill was considered in Committee and passed with amendment. It was then read a third time and passed.
At its next sitting, the House is expected to consider the Supreme Court of Judicature (Amendment) Bill, 2010, the Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Bill, 2010 and the Evidence (Amendment) Bill, 2010. The sitting adjourned at 9:41 p.m.
