The Speaker granted leave of absence to the Member for Naparima (October 19-28) and the Member for Tobago West (October 23-30).

The Minister of Sport and Member for D’Abadie/O’Meara raised a matter of privilege in the House involving the Member for Diego Martin West. The Speaker ruled that the matter required consideration and that he would rule at a subsequent sitting.
The Leader of the Opposition moved a Motion asking the House to express its loss of confidence in the Attorney General. The Leader of the House was first to enter the debate, followed by the Member for Diego Martin North/East and the Minister of Sport. 12 persons made contributions before the Leader of the Opposition rose to reply. The Minister of National Security then rose to conclude the debate. The Motion was defeated by a margin of 11 for, 25 against, no abstentions.
The Member for Diego Martin North/East raised a Matter on the Motion for the adjournment of the House. TheMinister of Sport responded.
Before adjourning, greetings were extended to the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-ul-Alha. The sitting adjourned at 4:57 a.m.
