Mr. Ved Seereeram was first appointed a Temporary Opposition Senator on December 8, 2009, during the 2nd Session of the 9th Republican Parliament.

Mr. Seereeram‘s formal education includes a Bachelor  of Science in Management Studies (First Class Honours) from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada.

Mr. Seereeram is a financial consultant by profession and for the past 25 years has been involved in the financial field. He has previously held senior managerial positions in the banking sector, and has extensive experience in the areas of Corporate Finance, Financial Engineering, Exposure Management, Capital Markets, Advanced Derivatives, Senior Market Risk and Teamwork Seminars.
