Ms. Stacy Roopnarine was first elected to the House of Representatives on May 24, 2010 as the Member for Oropouche West in the 10th Republican Parliament. She was appointed Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs on May 28, 2010.

Ms. Roopnarine holds a B.Sc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of the West Indies. She is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
