Mrs. Shivanna Sam was elected to the House of Representatives, as the Member for Cumuto/Manzanilla in April of 2025. She was assigned to serve as Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Public Utilities.

Mrs. Sam is a seasoned Environmental Professional with over 12 years of progressive experience in environmental regulation, compliance monitoring and risk assessment. Shivanna has demonstrated expertise in ensuring environmental compliance across different sectors inclusive of the oil and gas, construction and quarrying industries.

Academically distinguished, Mrs. Sam holds a Master of Science in Occupational and Environmental Safety & Health and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental & Natural Resources Management.
