Ms. Salisha Baksh was one of six Opposition Senators appointed following the transition of the office of Leader of the Opposition from Mr. Patrick Manning to Mr. Basdeo Panday in September of 1990, during the 3rd Republican Parliament. She was reappointed as a Senator in the 4th Republican Parliament.
