Mr. Kazim Hosein was appointed a Senator and Minister of Rural Development and Local Government on October 31, 2016. Mr. Hosein was appointed Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries on March 16, 2022. Mr. Hosein previously held public office as Mayor of San Fernando.
