Dr. Anna Mahase served as a Government Senator (Temporary) during the 6th Republican Parliament. Dr. Mahase was a teacher by profession, and for many years was Principal of the St. Augustine Girls' High School.

Dr. Mahase passed away on May 24, 2024 at the age of 91.
