Senator Christlyn Moore

Ms. Christlyn Moore was appointed Minister of Justice on September 26, 2012.

Ms. Moore is a seasoned practitioner with more than 16 years litigation experience at both the criminal and civil bar. In 1995 she graduated from Sir Hugh Wooding Law School and took the bold step to establish Renaissance Chambers which has a general practice serving local and international clients in all aspects of litigation, commercial, corporate, administrative and conveyancing work.

Ms. Moore is a former tutor at the Hugh Wooding Law School and also has considerable experience with all aspects of FIU and AML compliance. In addition to managing Renaissance Chambers, Ms. Moore is the Instructing Attorney to the Commission of Enquiry into the events surrounding the 1990 attempted coup and appears on behalf of the Attorney General in several matters.

Her passion for the advancement of women lead to her being a founding member of Soroptimist International of Newtown, a charity whose focus is also the welfare of women and girls.

Tobago born Christlyn Moore spent her early childhood in Lambeau Village and attended Bishop's High School Tobago.
