Mr. Brian Wood served as a Temporary Independent Senator during the 9th Republican Parliament.

Mr. Wood is the holder of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Sociology from Brock University (Ontario Canada) and a Masters of Commerce degree in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde (Scotland). His thesis was on “The Future and Prospects of the Automotive Assembly Industry in Trinidad & Tobago”.

Mr. Wood has held several senior marketing management positions in the Retail, Oil and Gas, and Telecommunications industries. During his career he focused on building and developing sales and distribution networks and businesses in these industries. This included the introduction of several new technologies and services in the mobile telecommunications industry.
 
Since 2011, Mr. Wood has been leading his own company which is engaged in using mobile technology and equipment to develop and implement paperless business process solutions for mobile and remote workers in the Caribbean.
