Parliament campaign to encourage citizens to share ideas of peace via social media
Given the recent trends of increased violence in our society and indeed throughout the world, the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago wishes to change the narrative by using social media to encourage citizens to commit to peace.
The Commonwealth Theme for 2023 is: “Forming a Sustainable and Peaceful Common Future” and Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace Justice and Strong Institutions is stated as follows:
“Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels”
We want to know what does ‘peace’ mean to you?
From now until May 31st share with us your ideas about peace via social media using the hashtag #ispeakforpeace and tag the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago using our social media handles:
