Joint Select Committee on Finance and Legal Affairs
The Joint Select Committee on Finance and Legal Affairs has commenced an examination of the efficiency and effectiveness of the Equal Opportunity Commission.
The objectives of this inquiry are as follows:
- To evaluate the performance of the EOC in the execution of its core mandate including:
- its ability to eliminate discrimination; and
- promote equality among persons of diverse backgrounds.
- To determine whether the resources, systems and procedures of the EOC are sufficient to allow it to operate efficiently.
- To evaluate the adequacy of the existing regulatory framework that informs the operations of the EOC.
The Committee is therefore inviting interested persons and organisations to submit written comments, suggestions and recommendations on this matter.
Members of the public are reminded that submissions should observe the principles of relevance, clarity, conciseness and accuracy.
THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS FRIDAY APRIL 28, 2023 at 4:00 P.M.
