Private Business: Motions
Government's Handling of Crime

The Member for Princes Town North moved a Private Motion which asks the House to condemn the Government for its failure to effectively deal with crime. The Minister of National Security was first to enter the debate, followed by the Member for Tabaquite, during whose contribution debate was suspended.

Matter On The Adjournment
Construction of an Oncology Center

The Member for Caroni Central raised as a Matter on Motion for the Adjournment of the House, “the failure of the government to construct the Oncology Center thus causing severe hardships to patients requiring treatment for cancer.” The Minister of Health responded.

Matter On The Adjournment
Dengue Infection, Yellow Fever and Leptospirosis

The Member for Caroni East raised as a Matter on the Motion for the Adjournment of the House, the failure of the Government to provide true and accurate information to the nation on the incidence of, and deaths arising from dengue infection, in addition to inadequate preventive measures and nationwide education programmes on yellow fever and leptospirosis disease.” The Minister of Health responded.

At its next sitting the House will take through all stages legislation to amend the Insurance Act and the Central Bank Act.
