Three Papers were laid, two in the name of the Minister in the Minister of Finance and one in the name of the Minister of Labour, Small and Micro Enterprise Development.

Sen. the Hon. Conrad Enill (Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Leader of Government Business in the Senate) moved that Government Business be dealt with instead of Private Business. Leave was granted.

The Minister in the Ministry of Finance (Sen. the Hon. Mariano Browne), Sen. Subhas Ramkhelawan, Sen. Helen Drayton, the Minister of Health (Sen. the Hon. Jerry Narace), Sen. Corinne Baptiste-McKnight and Sen. Gail Merhair made their maiden contributions in the Senate. The Bill was later read a third time and passed.
